WorldCALL 2003 is a full 4-day conference, beginning early on May 7th, so it is advisable to arrive in Banff on May 6th. A reception will be offered by Can8 on the evening of May 6th, and a banquet is held on the evening of the 9th.

Other activities

  • Field Trip #1 - Lake Louise and Johnson Canyon
    Tuesday, May 6th 2003, 12:30pm - 5:30pm (Return Approx.)
    Guests will depart The Banff Center Professional Development Centre via coach and travel down the Bow Valley Parkway to Johnston Canyon. There, participants will enjoy a brief hike to view the Hole-in-the-Wall WaterFall. From there the tour will continue on to Lake Louise. Guests would have approximately 1 hour to wander around the lake and grounds of the Chateau Lake Louise, view the Plains of Six Glaciers or hike up to the Little Beehive. Cost per person is $61.00 plus GST, which includes coach transportation and one bag lunch per paid person.

    Reservations received after APRIL 6, 2003 will be accepted on a space available basis only. Reservations for this activity are made at the time of registration, but other arrangements can be made.

    Note: Tour will be cancelled if the minimum number of 10 participants is not achieved.

  • Field Trip #2 - Sulpher Mountain Gondola and Banff Upper Hot Springs
    Thursday, May 8th 2003, 6:30pm - 10:15pm (Return Approx.)
    Guests will depart The Banff Center Professional Development Centre via Coach to Sulphur Mountain Gondola where guests will be transported to an elevation more than 7000' above sea level. After time to enjoy the view, guests will be taken to the Banff Upper Hotsprings Pool to enjoy a soak in one of nature's hot tubs. Afterwards, guests will be returned to The Banff Center. Cost per person is $65.00 plus GST including admission to the Gondola and Hotsprings (lockers, bathing suits, and towel rentals are extra if required and can be rented at the hotpools).
